I went to the Museum of Glass in Tacoma. I walked around to see the different pieces they had set up and also watched live demonstrations of glass blowing. The demonstrations were really cool to see how it was done, how the glass stretched when heated, and how different amounts of heat created different colors and textures. This piece uses different colors and textures. The glass in the middle inspired ideas for glass in ceramic projects. This is a basket woven out of wire. The circular way the wire is woven creates unity with the shape of the basket, which is also round. I liked the texture and design on these glass pieces. The texture of the outside gives them a unique look. The solid color of the glass emphasizes the design in black or white. I liked this idea for a ceramics project. This was a fun piece I liked. It was called the "Corn Dog". I think the colors look good with each other and the idea was just very creative.
