This is the frankenpot that I made with my team. Mackenzie made the bottom, I made the middle, and Taylor made the top piece. We used calibers to measure each piece to make sure they fit together and were the same size at the places they were connecting. We glazed it with blue on the outside, white and blue on the inside, and scrap at the lid. The scrap shows movement when it ran down and the blue and white on the inside mixed together to also show movement.
This is a big bowl I threw out of sea mix. I focused on texture to make the inside and outside the same and smooth. I glazed the outside white which turned out well because it was very even. The inside I glazed tomato red with white on the top so it would run down. The white on top of the red shows movement of the glaze. This is my lidded project. It is a small pot with a lid that sits on top of the lip and inside the pot. I glazed it with turquoise matte on the outside and black on the inside. Next time I would make sure the turquoise was more even because the matte doesn't run and therefore you can see where the glaze was put on unevenly. Glazing the lid and the outside of the project the same color creates unity between the two pieces. |
